Please help!
I'm a filipino and I just recently received my eligibility for bridging course registration. I haven't enroll yet to a school but my problem is that I passed my ielts May 2010 and it will expire this coming May 2012. After my bridging program I have to finish my registration for AHPRA for me to be an RN and I just finish scanning the requirements after the bridging program and they are still asking for my IELTS but by the time I can complete the bridging program my ielts will be expired. So do I have to take the ielts exam again or will it still be counted as current? please help I'm really worried now.

Hello. how long did it take you before you finally received your eligibility letter from AHPRA? I submitted my application last july 27 and it's been 4 months already but i have not received any update yet. i called them just today and it's still on the process!! thanks
I submitted my papers last January and I just received my approval for bridging program just last month. So, it took me 10 months to complete it. But during that span of time for some reason they keep asking me for same documents that I've been sending them. It really depends on the state you are applying for. Some of my friends were approved after 2months so I dont know you have to be lucky I guess.

Re IELTS. You have to take it again before you register after you finish your bridging program. Better take another IELTS to tide you over for registration

There might have been some if you back read the thread (new grad filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia) but since Sept 2011 there was a memo from AHPRA defining which countries would be exempt from IELTS.
I know someone who is currently reviewing for IELTS here in Australia because she thought her certification was good enough. By the time she finished her BP and about to apply for registration she was asked to submit a current IELTS. She had to apply for another visa to study for her IELTS. She might now lose her job offer for RN because employers don't like waiting that long.

Suggest you check AHPRA website but as far as I am aware the answer is yes depending on where you are from and what experience you have
