I interviewed with Regis for their ABSN program last summer & all I can say is that if you have gotten that far, they already are impressed with your grades and writing ability. In the interview you need to shine as a person.
The questions that they ask have to do with what sets you apart from everyone else.
1. Why do you want to be a nurse? (Don't give the typical answer "because I want to help people.")
2. What do you do when you are stressed out? (They want to know that you can handle this kind of fast paced program.)
3. Why you chose Regis? (DO YOUR RESEARCH!!! Know what the school is about and how it is different from other schools. Look at their mission statement: http://www.regis.edu/regis.asp?sctn=abt)
4. Have you been in a situation where someone was upset or unhappy & how did you handle it? (They want to know if you have people skills.)
5. Talk about your past experiences and how they will help you in your nursing career.
That's about all I can think of right now...Good luck, be yourself & be confident in your answers.
Thank you very much . I appreacte your reply

Snowsoft,
Did you get into the accelerated program for Jan 2010? I just found out a couple weeks ago that I was accepted! Can't wait to start!
If you haven't interviewed yet, I found that my interview (Aug 5, 2009) followed the questions that AshBlonde83 wrote. I was also asked what makes me stand out/ how would they remember me out of the 200+ interviews and if I would consider myself a flexible person. They also asked about how I am really prepared (financially, support system, life stability, etc) for the intense year where you must me dedicated to the program. Good luck and I hope to hear from you soon!
