Recruiting questions

Published

My recruiter is apparently not big on "returning phone calls" or "replying to e-mails" so I wanted to see if I could get some answers to my questions from the experts here.

I am prior service looking to go AD Army as an APN. From what I have been told, the numbers are done for this year and there are no more boards until next FY. I wanted to verify that that is the case.

Secondly if that is the case, when would I want to start working on my board packet? I am thinking I would like to start now so that on 1 OCT it is ready to be dropped. I know from past experience that it is never too soon to start Army paperwork so I am wondering if anyone else has any ideas about timelines. I can't remember how long the physical is good for either.

Thanks for any input and good luck to everyone.

I've been told letters of recommendation are good for a year. I'm in the same boat, but looking to go AD Army as an ER RN, also planning on having my packet ready for the new FY. Sorry your recruiter isn't more responsive. :(

thanks for the response. I guess I will have to start being an annoying person who calls all the time:) I wish there was a definitive source of info where I could look things up.
