Received a job offer for a different unit than interviewed for

Today I was told that I was offered a spot on a nurse residency that was different than what I interviewed for. I currently work for this hospital as a nurse's aide and specifically chose the residency I interviewed for because I had no interest in the other residency. I have been given a week to make decision as I am expecting to hear from one more hospital this week. Although I have high hopes in getting this other position, I have no idea what to do if I do not. As an employee of the hospital I already know what to expect for this unit that I have been offered and know that it is not what I'm looking for. Should I take it anyway?
