I am planning on retaking the NCLEX as soon as the 45 days are up-- mid August. I got 265 questions the first time and the results showed I was near/above the passing line on all the sections except one I was below.
I am doing Kaplan again-- questions/ review book
And I have the PDA book.
Any other suggestions good for reviewing content or questions? I am a visual learner and I've found illustrations help a lot.
I am extremely anxious.. I just want to pass this time around!!!!

Are you saying you used Kaplan before taking the exam, or are you just starting to use Kaplan. If you used it before the exam, what were your scores on kaplan?
I used Kaplan before as well, and my scores were between 55-68% and I read all the rationales.

Failed first time with Kaplan too \( got my refund because I did everything they had to offer and failed. Trying to decide what's best this time around. I need content review and Kaplan failed me and you it sounds like, by not having it. All everyone kept telling me was do questions, practice questions, question questions questions....that's what I did and failed. Very depressed about this and having a hard time refocusing on studying. How about you? Hopefully we both can pass the next time. I will pray for you and you pray for me. I retake mid August too. Thinking of getting the Hurst online videos, sounds like they have good content review on them. I would attend a class but none anywhere near me. Good luck.

Did you review resources for rationales, when you didn't understand or wanted to fully understand the rationales???

Look at the NCLEX for its four parts in order for one to enter as a entry level nurse: Safe, Effective Care; Health Promotion and Maintenance; Psychological Integrity; Physiological Integrity. Next, set up a time period to study.
Give yourself two months to study MAX if you need to. Review Kaplan book and Saunders cover to cover. If you need other resources, choose resources that will help with preparing and have questions in each of the domains of the NCLEX. Make sure you are reviewing questions and rationales-even the ones that you answer correctly. Look at what the question is ASKING you; that helps in choosing the BEST answer. Review the sources if you don't understand the rationales. The NCSBN (makers of the NCLEX) also has a comprehensive study program as well.
Hope this helps!
