Rad Tech VS Nursing

Published

I've recently applied to both programs at my community college. Rad tech was a little bit harder to get into, so I did not think I was going to get in, but I actually did.

As far is nursing, I won't know if I am accepted for a while.

So my predicament is, if I get accepted into both, what program should I go into? I know nursing makes more money, but at this point it's not even about the money. Both are make great money, and I am interested in both, but I'm just not quite sure what to do.

Im posting on here to see what everyone's opinions are on here. And I also am interested in how the job market is for rad tech. Thanks for your time!

Have you looked into the job market where you are? In my area, it is next to impossible for rad techs to find jobs. Nurses, on the other hand, see more opportunity in comparison. You really need to know what the reality is for both professions in your area or the area where you want to work after graduating.

In my area, they have no problem finding jobs in both fields. Thank you for your comment!
