Questions, Psych Nurses!

I have been out of psych nursing for the past 8 years, have about that much previous experience in it. I had worked in a state hospital and now am going for an interview for a position with a private sector company where I would be the nurse for 4 group homes with a few crisis beds (12 beds total). I think it sounds great as far as the anonimity of the position as well as the opportunity to get into psych nursing again.

Anyone here in a position that sounds anything like this? Also, I am wondering about salary. I 'm hoping it pays as well as my current hospital position. Thanks!

In Louisiana they are about to open some positions like this. I am not sure what the specifics are, it is within the state system, so salaries will be consistent with MS pay scales. My considerations are regarding medical coverage and psych emergency coverage for these particular clients, as well as staff/patient ratios.

Good points about reliable med/psych coverage. I'll bring them up at the interview. I am told I will be responsible for 12 clients in 4 separate facilities.
