Questions about my probation

Hello! I have been placed on nursing probation in the state of Il as of February 26 2015My only stipulations include turning in quarterly evaluations and random drug testing. My consent order states "resonant shall submit monitored random and periodic drug, breathalyzer and urine testing" I am concerned as I have yet to be called for one. I don't want my probation to go out any further than it has to. Anyone have thoughts or experiences with this? Thanks in advance

You are usually expected to check in every day...are you doing that?

I have not as I was not aware. It does not say anything about it in my consent order and when I spoke with my probation officer I was not told this

You wouldn't be called for one either. Your probation isn't about what they have to do, your probation is what you have to do. Call the board of nursing, because not knowing would be considered negligence and you would be held liable for not follow the directions of the requirements. Take notes, date and time and have the information emailed to you. Sounds like your already in violation. It's unfortunate but the Board of Nursing are not effective communicators. I feel they would rather revoke your license and have you pay to have it restated then just tell you what to do.

Unless IL has some non-standard program...than I would assume that you're in a lot of trouble somewhere. I'm surprised you haven't received a phone call or letter earlier stating that you're not in compliance...

It usually would state weekly drug screens, or bi monthly screens. I would definitely call, and ask them. Make sure to have your consent order with you for reference, and know what you are talking about. Good luck!

This doesn't sound like anything I've heard of. Keep us updated and good luck.
