My oh my, i can't believe it i actually passed. I wrote my NCLEX-RN last tuesday, i drove two and half hours to get to the testing ctr. and sat straight in front of the computer as soon as i arrived. I said no big deal it will only take 75questions and i am out of there... then 75 questions has gone and the computer didn't stop, then 90, then 100, then after 150 i was just pulling my hair saying what the heck is going on. I didn't even take a single break and sat through all of it because i just want to get it over with because i have to drive back for two and half hours.... then the computer just kept going and going till all of a sudden it shuts off at 210. Oh my god, i got out of there so drained out, my head was spinning and totally spaced out.... when i was driving home i didn't even realized that i was running out of gas and the fuel tank light was blinking already! Whew after finding out the result today i am so relieved. so to all you wonderful people out there you may get 75 questions or get 265 questions, never give up because like they say till the computer shuts off, you are still in the game.
Oh yeah, thanks to Suzanne's method and saunders book guide.... really helped me a lot!!!!! THANKS!!!!!!:balloons: :balloons: :balloons: :balloons:

Wow, this is exactly how I feel at this moment!
I stories are similar with a few edits - I had 265 questions and drove 5 hours to my testing the site (half the night before, half the morning off, then drove all the way home after the test).
HEAD SPINNING is totally how I feel. After question 160 I was thinking, I'm screwed! I kept chugging at it and even though I don't feel better about it, I know I did my best. Geez I wish the wait wasn't so long for me!

I just took my nclexRN exam june 06 and I had 265 questions. I'm in a panic mode right now since I have to wait until tomorrow for the quick results. I felt terrible and totally frustated when I finished and I really dont think that I passed. I wonder if it is common for people to get 265 question and still pass?

Good work, leitecondensada! Now you know that the number of questions is not an indication of the pass/fail result.
Like I've read before - the number of questions is no indication of the result - I know it's hard to believe...but I'm in the same boat as you.
I've heard that some people are "chosen randomly" to receive the entire test. Do you know that to be true?
Let me know how you did - you are in my "265 Club" prayers!
Thanks for the support guys. I haven't received my results yet but I guess there is still hope!
There is definitely a big hope till you get the result.... hang tough my friend!
I think everybody should just forget the notion of 75 questions good and anything beyond that is not good. When i was doing my exam i noticed that some of the questions are being repeated, not exactly word for word but very similar. I guess the computer trying to give you a chance to get the right answer....just my little theory. This exam will always remain a mystery that none of us will know. wish i can write it again.... just for fun though. But hang in there nurselatino!
Not true. Check out the 2007 Candidate Bulletin at www.ncsbn.org . There should be a section that specifically addresses this.
Thanks Eric...there is a section that addresses this issue, and you are right. There are not instances when test-takers receive a certain amount of questions "randomly". Thanks for showing me where you found that info.
