150 Questions on NCLEX????

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi y'all... I just took my nclex for the first time this morning. I am so discouraged. I not only had 150 questions (which I have never heard of) and I only had about 10-15 select all that apply... Be honest - pretty good hunch I failed, right? I tried the pearson vue trick I got the good pop up - but I don't think there is anyway I could have passed with that many Q's and hardly any multipul choice....

Thoughts? Please? I'm a crying hot mess right now...

Thanks y'all

The number of questions do not matter.. You can pass or fail with any number of questions ranging from 75- 265 questions.. If you did the PVT and got the good pop up, I would not worry. I can tell you no matter the questions most people feel they failed when they in fact passed.

I passed with 78, my friend passed with 105, another friend passed with 265, just to give you an idea..

Congrats !!

The number of questions and the types of questions tells you nothing about how you performed. The computer gives you a minimum of 75 questions and then continues until it can definitely tell (with 95% confidence) that you either met or did not meet the passing standard. It took the computer 150 questions to determine that you either passed or failed the exam. Each question is awarded a difficulty level and while SATA tend to be higher difficulty, they aren't the only questions awarded high difficulty. So again, # of SATA doesn't tell you anything.

The good news is that the PVT doesn't lie so if you got the good pop up than you passed. Congratulations. :)

Omg - I hope you're right! Thank you for your responses - you made me feel better :) I'll let you know when I find out.

Again - THANK YOU!!!

100% just got my letter ! After 2 weeks !

Congratulations! Way to go!

Congratulations! Way to go!

thank u so much ! :)

Yep - it works!!!!!! I passed!!!!!!! Thank you everyone

Took the NCLEX-PN Monday and it was so hard. I felt like I didn't know some of the stuff it was asking and wasn't to confident in myself through the whole test. Was hoping for it to cut off at 85 however it kept going and going. The screen finally cut off when I got to 150. Tried the re-register trick and it kept giving me the "Our records indicate you have already scheduled this exam, we are unable to process your request" the good pop up they call it. Well after waiting 48 hours and thinking I surely failed it because that's what I thought, it was a pass. Just remember if the computer stops at 150 chances are you are a passer because otherwise it would let you go all the way to 205 trying to see if you are competent which you still can pass at 205 because a classmate did. Good luck to all!
