Question on my problem..

I was hoping someone medically inclined could help me...

Last night I went to bed at 9 and was up until 1 because small noises kept waking me up to the point that when I was falling asleep my body would wake me up anticipating that there might be more noises. Kind of like an animal in the wild might stay awake because it anticipates danger. Well, because of this I couldn't sleep very well and am tired as heck today. I tried sleeping on the couch at my college..same problem. It also strains my eyes for some reason (trying to keep them shut maybe?). Can anyone help me? I don't want this to turn into a syndrome..

John.
