Question about NP focus

This might be a stupid question but I know i want to be a NP but unsure what focus I want to take.

If you choose to specialize in something, how difficult is it to change your focus? For example you area of study was NICU NP and you decided you want to do family practice, is that possible, or would you have to do a whole other masters?

    You would have to do a post-masters program which would be a certificate in that additional area.

    Thank you for your responce. I'm glad to see that. I was worried I'd have do 3 more years just to change focus.
