Hello,
I need to know, is it a requirement to 1st obtain your LVN/LPN prior to going for your RN? I ask becuase i used to be a Critical Care Paramedic and have done a llot omre than any LVN/LPN is required to do. At least I think that is a fair statement.
Any help would be greatly Appreciated!

Joe, no you don't have to obtain your LVN prior to your RN. If you wish to become an RN, then I would suggest go to Registered Nursing school. And yes I would imagine if you were a paramedic, you did a lot of things for patients in emergent states.

You don't necessarily have to go from L.P.N. or L.V.N. to an R.N. Unless, you want to be an L.P.N. or L.V.N. first, then get your Registered Nursing Licensure. Maybe, you can see if a local university in your state, has a Paramedic Program to an R.N. Program. Sometimes, they have things like that. Hope you find what your looking for.
Zach,
I wasn't 100% sure on that one. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Great! No I really dont wish to go the LPN/LVN route. I like the Paramedic-to-RN program idea. I'll have to look into that, thanks!
