Question on excelsior and IL

Hello yet another question on excelsior.

I live in IL and have heard two different stories if excelsior is accepted or not. I'm not sure how the endorsing would work, I live close to the wisconsin border so working in WI would not be a problem. Anyone in IL have difficulty obtaining or transferring their RN license through IL. A little background on what I do, I am a licensed parmedic that works full time on an ambulance and also work as a ED tech. I appreciate anyones input.

    I'm from IL also and i'm doing the Excelsior ASN program. It is accepted in IL but only after working as an RN in another state that is Excelsior friendly for 2 years. In my case I am on the Indiana border so I plan to take NCLEX in Indiana and work there for 2 years and endorse my license to IL, you also have the choice to work at a VA hospital in IL or any state because the requirement for the job is a US RN license. But as always check with the IL BON and Excelsior website and Good luck with your studies. :up:
