I have my application form ready for nmas. One question is should i include that i care for a relative with mental health problems as i am wanting to go into mental health. I feel this is relevant experience as i have been pondering over this. I have also within the family encountered eating disorders and depression.
Any advice would be appreciated thanx

Hello
Generally speaking, any experiences of caring for people within the family are not usually recognised as "experience" as such. For example, if you were applying to do midwifery training or paediatric nursing, you don't get 'credit' for having had a baby or caring for your own children. They usually want to see that you have had hands-on experience in a recognised clinical area. But I see from your other posts you are an advocate for people with mental health issues, so that should certainly be favourable for you.
Hope this helps.....and good luck :)
thanks for replying letina i thought as much lol and thanks again
