Qualify in September in the UK

Published

Hi,

I'm qualifying in September in the UK, doing an accellerated diploma in Adult nursing. Have been considering moving to Australia, but in all honesty don't really know where to start... I also have a Kiwi passport, so visa should not be a problem for me in Oz. Any advice on where and who I should approach as to jobs for newly qualifieds?

Thanks for reading this!

Out of interest, whats an accelerated diploma in Adult Nursing? Does this mean you can't nurse children? Anything accelerated sounds like a lot of hard work...

With regards to application etc, check out some of Glenys' information, at the top of the page. She has provided some extensive links...

Thanks for replying! Accellerated means that because I have a previous degree I don't need to do a three or four year nursing course. I do the minimum amount of clinical hours needed to register with the NMC in the UK and it is more condensed, I have less holidays than I would if I was doing a three or four year course... At my university, I basically do exactly what a three year diploma student would do in two years.
