I take the NCLEX in 2 weeks. Kaplan recommends doing Question Trainer 7 only a few days before the exam. I would like to take it now to see what areas need review or if I am at a good stage. What is the disadvantage of doing that? Or should I wait?
Thanks for the suggestions and advice. This forum has been extremely helpful!!

I took QT7 early to see how am I doing so far. I guess you can take it now, it want hurt, that one is hard so take your time and you probably know that they ask you to pretend like taking real test. Practice SATA's. I had lots of the, and infection control questions too. Good Luck be positive.

I did QT7 about 5 or 6 days before my exam. It takes a long time, plus going over it took just as much if not more time. I think it took a good 8 hours to do everything, that includes looking up things that I wasn't clear on after taking it.

I would take it now and do that final polish up and review. Wishing you good luck.

I took Q-7 a week before my test. Try to take it all in one sitting just to get the practice of the real thing! And I agree with JP425, practice your SATA and Infection control (knowing what precautions to take with each type, droplet, airborne, ext and what disease falls under each category)! Good LucK!

Hi...did you use Kaplan's alternate questions on-line with the complete study package? If so, was that enough? I also wanted to know if you went to CDC.gov for the infection control/PPE info? Thanks so much. My exam is on 3/4.

I am also taking nclex in less than 2 weeks..I plan to take QT7 by the end of this week. For those of you took it, can you share your results of Qtrainers? I am not passing what Kaplan is recommending. so I am really frustrated..thanks!

There are threads like the one above where people have listed their Kaplan Qbank and Qtrainer scores. I havent' done Qtrainers 6 or 7 yet but on Qtrainer #1: 71%, Qtrainer #2: 73%, Qtrainer #3: 58%, Qtrainer #4: 64%, Qtrainer #5: 69%. QBanks are in the 63% range and I'm about 52% through them. Hope this helps.
mixedfruit: I took the whole Kaplan class. My score was low and Q7 I did get above 65%. I recommend you should also practice other things like Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment by Lind, and Exam Cram was very helpful to me. I found thread on this website for infection contol which is very very helpful. I did posted couple weeks ago. if you need it letme know I can post it again. Someone had posted while back but who ever did it thanks a million to him/her.
Good Luck. Oh kaplan questions are harder, but helpful.

wow those are great scores!! I only scored in the 50s on Qtrainers 1-5, and got a 62% on 6, and a 66% on 7. But I guess it was decent b/c I got 75 ?s, so evidently I learned something. :) Good luck!
Thanks!!!!!! Congrats to you!!
