Pyxis Worksheet

Can anyone tell me how to set the pyxis worksheet to print to our unit printer. I'm a travel nurse and use the worksheet to organize myself and use it as a double check giving medications. I have been pulled or floated many times ....this features is extremely helpful in prioritizing and keeping me on track during a busy night with admissions. However, not many nurses know about it and my new current assisgnment doesnt even have the pyxis set up to print to anywhere!! How do I do this? The pharmacy doesnt know nor IT...Please help

    They have to have the software....not everybody buys it. Odd are if pharmacy doesn't know about it the software wasn't purchased.....sorry..:)

    The software is there to select patients and create worksheets it is viewable.

    I've been in facilities that don't have the software to do it at all . It s not even a selection at the work station

    I've contacted a rep to go over the features .

    Customize to your assignment first[

    Patient List --- Customize

    1. In the Main Menu screen, touch User Menu.

    2. In the User Maintenance Menu screen, touch My Patients.

    3. Select the patient names from the Select a Patient list on the left side of the screen.

    4. If you make a mistake, select the name to remove from the My Patients list and the patient name is removed.

    5. To remove all patients from your list, touch Deselect All.

    6. Touch Accept to finalize the My Patients list.

    It may be there but will it run? :smokin: I'll be interested.....the Pyxis Itself may say it's there, but it may not communicate with the hospitals mainframe. Pyxis is NOTORIOUS (well they all are really) for adding features to a machine to "tempt" the facility into purchasing more when they notice (or a traveler notices) a feature they would think be helpful.......but there's a catch......you need the software from them (additional expense of course :rolleyes:) to allow it to function with your existing system.....for a small fee, of course. :cool:

    It works or it would not be able to customize to my worksheet.....most the time the owner doesnt know how to set it up let alone work it...I'm not at work so I can't walk you you through it screen by screen,I work tomorow so Ill post how to do it ...or if I find screen shots tonight I post..
