PVT - Failed - How to Re-register NCLEX-RN

My name didn't show up on the BRN after the usual 3 days. I took it May 9, 2012 - I was reluctant to doing the PVT, I felt it was a jinx and decided to wait it out. After 5 days I was already doubtful since no sign of name on BRN. Today is the 7th day and I was tired of sleepless nights and did the PVT and it went to CC page.

No results in the mail yet, but I am already planning on getting the next test set up.

So, when I receive the form to re-take my test. Do I have to go back to my school to get any signatures or do I just pay the $150 retake and sign the form and mail it back?

Also since the CC information on PearsonVue Popped up, would paying NOW, accelerate any process or should I wait til I get my ATT?

Lastly, Since I took it on the 9th, when is the possible date of eligibility for my next test?

Ive been scouring this site for months now and downloaded the 35page booklet as well as tried the programs. Perhaps I didnt give myself enough time.

I got 200 question, 3.5 hours, 2 breaks, 16 SATA, 3 Math, 3 "exhibits, and a lot of infection control.

I think the SATA really killed me as well as the infection control parts. Perhaps I was just getting really tired. I am being completely honest and not trying to sugar coat my experience. I really think I should have waited maybe another few weeks, but I was eager and confident.

With that being said, I am ready to slow things down, put everything in order and organize my life to make this 2nd attempt a passing one.

Thanks for all replies and soon my LVN will be RN.

Should be just a case of pay fees as application should still be OK with what you have already sent. Most states average a 45 day wait before you can sit exam again. You can apply again to pearsonvue (you will require a new ATT) and pay their fees and they will send ATT once you have met BRN requirements
