PVAMU Spring 2016

Hi! I wanted to start a thread for anyone who is applying to PV's CON for the Spring of 2016! The deadline is fast approaching, and I don't see a thread anywhere for this term. Hope I get to meet some of you guys through here, and we can go through this application process together! :)

As for me, I just submitted my application and sent my transcripts to the main University. I am getting everything together to turn in my application in person, all I am really needing is my letters of recommendation, and my HESI score (which I take this coming Monday! :/ )

Do you know for the nursing program if we have to turn in another copy of our transcripts?

yes! the main college needs electronic copies, and the college of nursing needs official copies MAILED to them.

Its really helpful to have the "checklist", do you have that? Here, i found the link for you

Also, I forgot to mention, I believe they want us to manually take our application packet to the college of nursing in person (everything thats on this checklist.) after you complete your application/admissions to the main college.

Hey! I am getting my letters of recommendation together as well. I am taking the HESI A2 again on Aug 7. Then I am gonna bring my application to the school. :) Thanks for making thread.

Do you think they take anyone with a W in their transcript?

I have a W in my transcript as well. My first time taking AP2 my professor was horrible and I had to drop her. I think what they said is you can't have any repeated classes, or more than 2 repeated classes. Something like that?

What are y'all's stats if you don't mind me asking??

My GPA is 3.33

My HESI is

92- grammar

92-vocab

100-math

88- A&P

92- reading comp

And 820/1000 Critical thinking.

Are these all the sections required for PV? Do you guys know? :/

My GPA is 3.56 (I think around that much)

English Language Comp - 88

Math Comp- 97

A & P - 72 (Gotta retake)

Im retaking mine was not prepared at all. I took mine and I used PV as my institution so the tests were theres im assuming. The only science was A&P I heard other schools require the chemistry part as well.

Critical Thinking - 810
