do any of you own your own pulse ox, it is always an issue finding one and I was thnking of buying one of the fingertips from devonstore, the cheapest one says it is not for medical use.http://www.devonsuperstore.com

I do not recomend this for risk managment purposes. If you make a decision based on your equipment, and it was faulty, then you could be liable. Also, hospital engineering is generally responsible for tagging all equipment to assure it was checked for function and patient/user safety. I do recommend you alert your department supervisor or CNO that not having appropriate equipment 1)affects patient care 2) affects productivity 3) affects customer satisfaction & 4) affects employee and MD satisfaction.
