Ptb?

i really need to find answers to my question. i am new here and i would very much appreciated if everybody or anyone could give advice regarding my dilemma. I am a newly Registered Nurse. and seeking for a hospital job but i am afraid to push through my goal to apply as staff nurse because i was diagnosed to have minimal pulmonary TB when i was 20 yrs. old then i took prophylaxis for 6-8 mos. and its already a pulmonary scar. i dont know if could they hire me regarding my health history :o could any one give some advice or information if i could still apply for a job even going to Us or other country? thank you.

Why not apply? Just be up front with your health history, and go from there. They can't more than say no. On the other hand it's possible they could hire you. You won't know unless you try. If it was me and I had your problem I would offer to have the TB test done annually. It they see how honest you are, then maybe there will be a position for you. Good luck.

It's been three years since you created this thread TS. How are you? Did you find a nursing work? I hope you didn't encounter any difficulties upon applying because me too diagnosed of ptb .I just finished my 6months treatment last june 3 . For now, I am applying for volunteer works with the fear of being rejected because of it.
