Psych Software ??

Published

Hi I am just wondering if anyone is using software to do their careplanning. I am looking for a program that is specific to mental health and has the capacity to deal with both child and adolescent psych.

Does any one know of any programs?

Do careplans get done more often if it is computerized and you just tick a box vs writing them out longhand?

Two programs that I have been looking at are TheraSribe and TxPlan. Has anyone heard of them..good or bad?

Thanks

jenn

I don't know anything about software for doing Tx Plans, but I do type my treatment plans each week.

I started about 8 months ago and for me it works great. It makes it easy to see what last weeks goal, intervention and focus was. Also, frequently there is not a major change in the Tx plan (if any at all), and so dont have to keep writing over and over. Also, often Tx Plans from patient to patient are not very different so easier access to see what worked for one and incorporate it for other (example to teen girls that cut arms).

Not sure if this helps you. If want any further info or have any questions E-mail me or PM me. Have a Happy Fourth!

Don't know anything about what your looking for exactly, but take a look at therascribe (do an internet search).

I know one psychiatry/psychology/social worker group that used it in an outpatient basis, and know it has some inpatient functionality as well. I think a single user version is $300/user for up to 20 users or so. They will probably send you a 30 day evaluation if you ask.

I'm a psych nursing instructor. I've had my students get the book named Psychiatric Nursing Care Plans by Fortinash and Holoday Worret. It's published by Mosby. It includes a CD that will help you develop care plans--it's actually quite usable. I hope you find it useful if you get it.
