I am going to take my PSB test in October for the 1st time. I have applied to CCAC and didn't get accepted. I can't wait any longer to accepted into a school to finish my nursing dream. Please if anyone out there has taken this test recently can give me any advice. I am not to good in the math dept. and really have a lot a anxiety when I have to take a math test which in turn makes me do bad. I need to also know which study guide books where good or you felt were a lot like the actual test. Any study technics you thought helped, or any thing you wish you would have known before the test. PLEASE HELP...SO MUCH ANXIETY!!!!!!!!

Hello, i took the psb test and i have to admit it wasn't as bad as i thought. I purchased the psb study guide online and it is the reason i believed i did so well. The math portion is pretty much basic math. Probably 8th grade level.
lillady04 - Was this the book PSB Registered Nursing Exam Secrets Study Guide by PSB Exam Secrets Test Prep Team | 9781610727969 | Paperback | Barnes & Noble
Also you mentioned it wasn't so bad. When did you take the PSB Test/what school? How long did you study for the test before you took it? Do the questions you don't answer count against you? I hate math and it makes me have anxiety I swear every time I think about it. Was the study book the same as the test was. Did you pass the first time around if you don't mind me asking? Anything you wish you would have done different that you didn't do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for all the questions.
Yes thats the book! however you got the rn addition i took the pn. I took the test in august of this year. I studied for about 2 weeks before the test. The questions you dont answer dont count. They only count the number of questions you got correct out of the questions you answered. Im not too great in math myself but i did good enough to pass. The study book over prepares you for the test. Yes i passed the first time and was able to test out of some of my classes. Im not sure what parts of the test your school requires, but i took natural science, math, spelling/grammar and i had an essay at the end. Overall, it wasnt as bad as i anticipated. Just purchase the book and study. Are you taking the psb for rn or lpn?
I'm taking the PSB for RN. My school requires it all and you have to score in the 75 percentile. I am going to purchase the book for RN and just study my butt off. I currently have literally every class done but the nursing classes. I hope that I do good im taking it at the end of October.
