Hello Everyone,
I am totally freaking out because I just took the PSB exam today, and I think I did horrible! It only had 2 sections- (90 questions) Verbal, Non-verbal, Math, and (40 questions)Reading comprehension. I am just curious about anyone that has taken it how many of the questions you actually answered, what your score was and your percentile ranking. I feel like I didn't answer enough of the ?s and I'm really nervous about it! I won't know for 2 weeks! Any info would be greatly appreciated!

hmm... well i took the PSB NAT (nursing aptitute test) and it had 5 sections - academic, spelling, reading comprehension, natural sciences, and vocational index. only academic, reading comp, and natural sciences counted for the nursing program i applied for. i don't remember my raw scores, but i was in the 96th percentile for academic, 91st for reading, and 96th for sciences.
i think at the beginning of the test, it did say to answer all questions, regardless if you think your answer is right or wrong. they don't penalize for wrong answers, but they penalize for unanswered questions. i was able to answer every single question.
i am guessing you took the paper version? i took the online version and got my scores right after the test.
Thanks for your response Rochelle.
Yes, I did take the paper version, and it was impossible to answer all of the questions. For the first part (90 questions-Verbal, Non-verbal, and math) we only had 30 mins. And the reading comprehension part was 40 questions on three different passages, and we only got 15 mins. So I only got about half way through those. Was yours timed as well? I don't know how you answered all of them!

yes it was timed. same time allowances. all the PSB tests are the same... just different formatting. did your school have the online version?
i think i was able to answer all of the questions because it was online. it's easier to just click an answer as opposed to filling in a bubble. plus in my opinion it's easier to read things on a computer. i don't know how i answered all of them either, but i did. lol.

Wolfpack are you in NC? If so and I'm thinking of the school that you applied with you only need to be in the 50th percentile. When I took the test I tried to answer as many as I could but we were able to skip (and you should) the questions that are hard since they penalize you for wrong answers. I didn't finish all the questions but did do all the easy to medium and SOME harder questions. It's kind of like SAT's if it takes you more than 30 seconds to come up with an answer skip it and move on. If you think you got most of the answers right then you will do fine. Our PSB was a shortened version and was only R-V-M and spatial.
Hi Cherish,
Thank you for the info! Yes, I am in NC. The only part I'm really worried about is the Reading Comp. section. I think I only aswered like 25 out of 40, and I'm not positive I got them all correct. Do you remember your score and what percentile your score placed you in? Thanks!!
Don't remember the score but was in the mid 80's percentile. Upper 70's for math (worst subject ever!).
