Program Mix Up

So I applied to a school and now they may not have the FNP track. I wanted to get into an FNP program and I was placed in the adult/geri track. I emailed my advisor to find out if it was a mistake. I didn't initially notice since the two tracks use the same classes initially.

I really want the FNP cert because it seems like it may be more marketable for me and I really like the idea of seeing a mix of kids and adults. Although I can make the adult/geri work and eventually go back for a post-graduate certificate elsewhere (which means more clinical time).

I double checked the application and it just says MSN/NP. It didn't specify which one. I do know the FNP program is a newer program than the adult/geri program that they offer. However, I can't find any specialized classes currently being offered for the FNP track.

I am super nervous now. I really hope they offer the FNP track since that is what I want. I can make the adult/geri work though. Just modifying some of my plans. Who knows, maybe doing an adult program would be a blessing instead. Although I know it's new so this may be the first semester it is offered. I am hoping that is what the issue is. I will even delay my start date if they want the FNP to start in a semester or so.

It's a waiting game till my advisor emails me back.
