  1. i am finally a registered nurse. i know that post like these encouraged me during my hard time so i am going to write one. you can do it guys!! first time: only did nclex mastery, did 50 questions a day. needless to say, i deserved and earned that fail. second time: did kaplan did all the question trainers and most of the q bank. kaplan helped me to slow down and think through the question. how ever content was me weak point the whole time so this was not helpful. kaplan didnt work for me because i was very weak in content and i didnt read the 200 page content book they give. if you are solid on content and just need exam strategy then kaplan is great. third time: U WORLD SAVED MY LIFE: before i used u world , i did a 3 day content review called Life savers. this was a helpful refresher course as 6 months had passed since i graduated. 4 weeks before my test date i started doing Uworld. the rationales were extremely detailed which is what i need because i was weak in content. i did 100-120 questions a day. i wrote down every single rational. i didnt do questions on sundays i just read over the rationales i wrote down. by my test date my average was 54% and i had only 200 questions left. NCLEX dAY: nclex screen looks just like Uword. i immediately realized that i was not nervous because i was very comfortable looking at that screen. i didnt feel like i was taking NCLEX i just felt like i was doing a Uworld round of questions. for my test specifically i dont know if every one agrees, but on every single question that came up, i remember thinking oh i wrote that down, or i remember reading that in the rationales. there was no question that i was completely clueless on. even the prioritization question, even the safety question. i knew enough content to know when a patient is potentially at risk. i had 10 question that i counted that were asking the same thing as u world questions, not word for word but how many different ways could really ask what color is the sky. at 75 questions i knew the computer would shut off and it did. i knew i passed. and i did. when i got back to my car i looked at my u world notes and i couldn't stop laughing. over 10 questions right there. it took me 4 full weeks and 4 Sundays of reading over rationals. i studied 4-6 hours a day took saturday off completely and sis 2-3 hours on sunday just reading rationales and googling more information. maybe the stars were just perfectly aligned for me on NCLEX. but i thank GOD i am a Registered nurse. i know for a fact that my success was because of u world NCLEX TIP: on exam day READ THE RULES! DONT WRITE ON YOUR WHITE BOARD TILL AFTER THE TUTORIAL PLEASE!!!!!!!! THEY CONSIDER THAT CHEATING.
  2. Hey stay positive. If you didn't pass this time. Take a week break and get back to studying. Use uworld. Good luck!
  3. yes found out I passed for sure. NCLEX is easier that uworld. And I say easier because every topic that came up I remember covering that topic from u world. There was nothing I didn't see befor. The mess were different but other than that. Ya the Sata were soo much easier than uworld
  4. Final update yessss I can't stop screaming thank you God!!! My name is on the board of nursing. I am an RN!!!! Maybe when they reviews my video and board they say that the labs I wrote down were useless as I didn't have any questions that required labs. Finally I am an RN!!!!!
  5. Okay update. I paid for the quick result and I passed!!!!!!!!!! My name is not on my nursing board yet. Which is giving me a whole other level of anxiety!!!!! Can they refuse to give me a license because of the brain dumping. Even if pearsonvue says I passed.
  6. i dont even know what to do. i took my nclex for the third time. computer shut off at 75 questions it took me an hour.i know for a fact that i passed. my test results are still on hold. when i got to the computer before the employee puts in their log in. i started writing lab values on my board, the lady was standing right next to me and didnt say a word. i read the rules i know. but i dont know how this slipped my mind. after a lot of research apparently its called brain dumping and is considered cheating. i dont even know what to do. i think this is why my exam is on hold. i wrote down 7 lab values but i didnt even get a question that required me to know lab values. also i took my nclex in a different state than the state im going to be licenced in. my licence is for Texas but i tested in California. can this be a reason for the hold as well. i have called the nursing board but no one is giving me a straight answer as to what is going on. has any one been in the same situation please help. im going crazy here
  7. i just took it an hour ago!!! tried the pvt got this The candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time. i dont want to count my eggs before the hatch but has the pvt ever been wrong. ps if you are reading u world rationals, dont give up!!! there were at least 12 questions that were asking the same thing as u world questions. not word for word but close enough. i kept thinking gosh i remember writing this down. ( maybe just got lucky. good luck everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. im taking mine tomorrow the 4th. im sooooooooo freaking nervous i have no more finger nails to bite. its my third time. i used u world this time around.i only have 200 questions left on u world. im just going to do the once i got wrong today i took their nclex simulation. it puts me at a high chance of passing so im hopeful.
