Congrats!! There's also a Facebook group that someone created, if you're interested... it's called Rutgers Spring 2018 ABSN.

The orientation is December 1st for Newark and December 14th for New Brunswick. Today was the deadline to pay the deposit/accept admission for me and I'm assuming others who got accepted around the second week of October, so I'm thinking you might hear something once they have a better idea of how many people accept???

Congrats everyone who got accepted so far and thanks for commiserating with me here over the past month or so! :) :) For those interested, I had a 3.5 undergrad (English and Spanish) and 4.0 in prereqs, and have been working at a hospital for about 4 years (I'm 28).

I think you must be right, especially since they no longer require recommendation letters. It's just scary since we don't really know what the competition is!! Hopefully we will hear a decision by end of October; I think that would be reasonable, right?

Same here. Just have no idea what they are looking for in an applicant... so it's nerve-wracking.

What!! Man.. I knew they were not required, but they are still accepted so I figured I'd send one anyway for good measure... I can't believe they said they won't review them! I am going to call back shortly to make sure she got my email, so I'll see what she says about the timeframe for sending decisions.

Anyway, she asked me to email them so it's not a huge deal, but just wanted to let y'all know.

Hey guys - just a heads up, I called admissions just now to make sure they had received the two recommendation letters that people had sent for me (both were mailed). The person I spoke to said that they did NOT receive them and that I should email them... and while she was looking for them she said she has not received ANY letters for any of the ABSN applicants. I find that really odd... I can't be the only one who had letters mailed in???

Oh my gosh. One thousand?!?! That freaks me out!

Yes, where did you hear about people getting acceptances? Also, for those of you who called admissions, did they say when they would start to send out decisions?

Same here - nothing yet!!! I forget, how many people do they accept for each campus? Is it 60?

Interesting... since you were put on the wait list for fall, do you get any type of priority for this application? I'm surprised you had to completely re-apply after being on the wait list.

Haha I'm also happy to obsess here about waiting for a decision... like someone else mentioned, the NursingCAS deadline was mid-August but the actual Rutgers deadline is not until 9/15 so I'm thinking that means we can expect a decision by end of September or early/mid-October? Anyone know if they mail an actual letter or if it's just an email notification? And! I was also trying to access my NursingCAS application just now but like someone said, I can't access it anymore... kind of frustrating to not have a clue how much progress has been made on application reviews (if any at all). Let us know if you hear anything valuable from the admissions office!

Hey! I applied too :) And I started a different thread on here for Rutgers Spring 2018 ABSN if you wanna search it, a few others there have applied and commented. I feel like you definitely have a good chance with the 3.41 GPA and work experience... I think their minimum GPA is 3.4 so you're good there. I currently work in a hospital myself. I am nervous too though, because who really knows what they are looking for...
