  1. Wondering if/how nurses are reimbursed for on-call. Our agency serves approximately 160 individuals in scattered site CILAs & 4 bed ICFs. The RNs on-call rotation consists of 120 hrs/month, in addition to our regular 40+ hours/week. We are also on-call 2 holidays/year. The RNs are salaried with no payment for overtime or on-call. Call primarily involves phone-triage and answering medication questions. We occasionally need to travel to a site for medication changes. When an LPN is on-call an RN must still be available for consultation. LPNs are reimbursed per phone call. They recieve 15 min pay or comp time for each phone call. LPNs also carry the pager for 120 hours/month. They do not recieve compensation for carrying the pager if there are no phone calls.
