  1. Hi! I am new to this site and figured this would be a good place to start in order to get some inside perspective. I am currently in a BAT (Accelerated Bachelors Program) working towards by second degree. My question concerns the likelihood of getting accepted into competitive Nurse Practitioner Program. I was not passionate about my first degree and did not apply myself to my fullest extent and I graduated with a 3.4 overall GPA. Being in my accelerated program now I am so happy to have found a career path that I truly care about and I expect to graduate with an overall 3.9. I am in a pretty reputable program currently and I am just wondering if competitive schools will be more interested in my overall GPA (which combines my first degree with my current nursing degree) or will they look more at Nursing Courses. Any insight anyone could offer I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You!
