  1. Thanks for your feedback. I am not an RN yet so I changed my username right away. I had no idea it was illegal, I'm so embarrassed! The HR representative mentioned that they require all their nurses to have a BSN so I'm assuming that is why I was rejected for the tech position. I have completed my first clinical rotation last semester. After doing a little research after reading the responses here I see that a Diploma program and associates program is similar in length but not the same thing. My mistake.

  3. Hi all! I recently had a job interview for a nurse tech position. When I applied online it said that candidates were required to be a student in good standing in a baccalaureate or diploma nursing program. I went on my first interview at a hospital with an HR representative who told me it was fine that I was enrolled in an associates degree program as long as I was pursuing my BSN after. She set me up with a second interview with a unit manager that went well. Every thing seemed promising until I followed up and was told that since I'm enrolled in an ADN program they couldn't offer me the position. She also told me to contact her once I graduate and enroll in a BSN program. How could I get an ok for my degree program and later be rejected for it? I have emailed her back just to clarify but have not received any feedback.
