I love it! It's crazy, though. And it can be pretty stressful.There's lot of time spent studying and going over material. The material can be difficult but as long as you're on top of your studying, you're good. Be ready to go at full speed. It's awesome and the time flies by.

Yes, I'm in the 2017 cohort, graduation date 2019. I think the number varies each year.

Did you take the Kaplan twice? And your gpa only includes your prereq classes, right? They take around 70 applicants per year. I'll be honest. The program is VERY competitive and there will be a lot of students with 4.0 gpa's and 80's and 90's on the Kaplan. Your scores need to be close to those if you want to get in. If you don't get in this year, try retaking your prereq's so you have a better shot next year. And apply to more than one school. For anyone else who hasn't applied yet, if you think your chances getting in are slim retake some classes to boost your gpa, retake the kaplan, and apply the following year. You can only apply a maximum of two times, so don't waste your time applying with scores that won't get you in.

I'd say the average GPA is somewhere around a 3.6 or 3.7 and it's rounded to the hundredth's place, (ex. 3.76). Definitely shoot for above an 80 on the Kaplan. The program is very competitive so if I were you, I'd aim for somewhere around the mid 80's. There will be students applying who have a 4.0 GPA so if yours is anywhere below that, you'll want to get the highest Kaplan score you can.

I'm pretty sure the advisor told me there were 60. I think where we fell on the list may be included in the email...? I have no idea. Looking forward to that, by the way! Today is the last day to claim your spot so emails should hopefully be going out soon. So anxious to receive it.

Looks like this week is going to be THE week! I'm very excited and thankfully, not as stressed about the wait as I have been, haha. Hello to the newcomers on the thread. :) Hope we all get in.

So, I went to advisement today. I'd planned not to but I was in the building and figured why not. No new info, though. The advisor said it'll be within the next two weeks when we get the emails. I didn't really ask anything else. I'm just going to wait...that's all we can do. I'm hoping we'll see some changes on the banner this week but if not, I'm pretty confident we'll see something next week. And technically, this is the week is the second after the deadline so all we have to do it wait and breathe, lol.

Yes, it is! On one hand I don't want to bug the advisers because we'll all find out eventually, (and I really could learn some patience, lol) but on the other hand, I would like to have some kind of consistency.

Will do. I'll be going to advisement on Monday to see what I can find out for myself. Seems like every student I've spoken to has different information.

Also, I don't see how there could be a blacklist. If there was any evidence that someone had cheated they would have failed out of the class. It's something that would have been taken care of prior to that student applying to the program. Kimzie, if you do happen to reach an advisor can you please let me know what they say? I called yesterday and haven't gotten a return call yet.

Thanks for the info. I'm with kimze, how do you know there's a black list and what makes you think teachers are influencing who gets in? Also, what do you mean we dropped Dekalb? Also #2, is there any way we could exchange emails or numbers? I'm lame and don't have a partner for the pathophys hw. :/

Haha, I hear you. My heart skipped a beat when I saw I had a letter from gtc even though I knew full well it wasn't a decision letter, lol. Much too early for that but just seeing the envelope got me excited.

I wouldn't worry too much about not having received one yet, especially if all of your application info is in the banner. A friend of mine hasn't received hers yet, either.
