  1. Wow! Your stats are amazing! I'm so sorry you didn't get in. I emailed the director of the program. I had no idea there were two separate pools for each campus and altogether they accepted 70 students out of over 300 applicants. If I would have known this, I probably would have applied to Appalachian and not the Marietta campus as I'm sure majority probably applied to Marietta. My assumption was that if seats filled up at the campus you originally selected then it's still goes by overall points and you would be placed at the other campus. Her response is below. "We have two cohorts starting in the Fall. One admitting cohort will be at the Appalachian campus and the other cohort will be at the Marietta campus. We asked potential students to chose which campus they were applying too. Based on that determination, two demographic pools were created so that Marietta people were in one and Appalachian were in the other. With that split, there were two separate pools of TEAS scores and credentials with the same criteria based on the candidate's campus preference. We have a limited number of seats for students and for this cohort our maximum capacity is 70 students between the two campuses. We had over 300 qualified students for this very limited number. With a larger pool of students, it rises the point bar for those students within one applicant pool. So to answer your concerns, yes, we are abiding by the stated criteria for Practical Nursing program admittance; however, each pool will have its own high and low criteria points in which to evaluate for admitting students for this cohort and any other future cohorts. Thanks for your inquiry."
  2. Don't give up dear. I'm not sure if you mind driving or not but schools further out like Middle Georgia and Albany State accept pretty much everyone who applies. My sister is in the ASN programs and only goes two days a week to the Cochran campus. Their Fall application might still be open. As long as you meet the requirements, you're in. Albany, I know for sure accepts pretty much everyone. Just thought I would throw this out there.
  3. Basically ? Did you apply to any other schools? What do you have planned now?
  4. No. I tried joining the Chattahoochee Tech Current/Prospective Nursing Students a few times but never get accepted. Dang, they won't let me in the Facebook group or the nursing school ?what did I do?! What did you post in the group?
  5. Wow! Are you in the Facebook group? I'm just not understanding how someone with a lower TEAS score/points got in over something with a higher TEAS score when admissions is based off points. but I guess.
  6. Exactly Deandra. I'm wondering if they actually looked at all applications, TEAS scores, and other credentials. I heard a lot of people applied for this cohort so I'm wondering if all applications were actually looked at. 84 on TEAS should have gotten in for sure.
  7. I didn't get in either with a 74 on the TEAS and CNA license and associates with 81 points. I don't understand, someone said they scored a 68 on the TEAS and got in.
  8. Girl, I haven't received mine either! I got 81 points total. I hope they send me an acceptance.
  9. Yall so someone on TikTok said that (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFO ABOUT OTHERS) who sends out the decisions says that decision letters won't be going out until June now ?
  10. I know! I keep checking my email. Praying that we all get an acceptance letter ?
  11. I'm really praying you get into the other schools you applied for! I wish you nothing but the best. Keep us updated!
  12. Hey Fawn, don't be too hard on yourself. It was just a simple oversight, and it can happen to anyone. Please don't give up on your dream of becoming a nurse because of this. It looks like they will be sending decisions soon so even if you sent the TEAS score now it might not do any good and it seems like they were strict about the May 9th deadline to have everything submitted. It says the program director is (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST IDENTIFYING INFO ABOUT OTHERS). Maybe try emailing her and see if she can help. I'm so sorry this happened to you dear. ? Keep going—you've got this!
  13. @Robyn Richmond I have 81 points. I'm praying we all get in! 2 to 2.5 weeks isn't bad for a decision. I'll come back here and let you guys know when I receive a decision!
