Perspective: Actually cried during an interview?!
@SaltySarcasticSally Thank you, thats definitely a good idea to prepare for it so I don't let my emotions get the best of me! I should define "crying" because I definitely didn't start balling my eyes out but my eyes did get watery and it was obvious! But thank you for your input, I just hope they see it (all 6 of them) as true passion!

Perspective: Actually cried during an interview?!
Ugh this was my fifth interview and I try to be as real and honest as possible but it definitely never gets easier to explain why I went into this!

Perspective: Actually cried during an interview?!
I had an interview yesterday with a hospital for their new grad program and their first question was: How did you get into nursing/ Why do you want to be a nurse? I immediately went to my mother who got diagnosed with cancer my freshman year of college and throughout that process, I saw and felt how the nurses took care of her and that made me want to help people for the rest of my life.. As i was saying this, I actually teared up. She is my motivation and is the reason why being a nurse is my passion which i told them! I hope they didn't take this as a sign of weakness or that I am unprofessional? I get so emotional talking about it!!! Has this ever happened to anyone/What are your thoughts if this happened to you when you are interviewing a potential new grad? Any nurse managers input?

Job Dilemma!!! Need advice
Okay so i graduated in May of 2016... Passed my boards in July 2016... It has been a very long and tough world out there for new graduate nurses. I have had many interviews with different hospitals with all of them eventually telling me that they would rather someone with "experience". Here is the pickle I am in: I have had two interviews for two different New Grad RN Programs. One is at a smaller community hospital and another is at a level one trauma center in Boston. I just got an offer from the community hospital but obviously this is my second pick. They want an answer within 24-48 hours but my absolute dream job is the one in Boston. My next interview is coming up for the program in Boston in a couple days (this will be my second interview, after they already called all my references). Do i accept the job I was offered? What if I get offered the Boston job within the next week or so? or should I ask the smaller hospital for more time to think about it? Thank you so much in advance!
