  1. I honestly don't know how they make the decision. You could apply at Maryville University. They are fully accredited and do not have an application fee. Maryville was another place where I applied. If you go to the school website at Maryville or UC and put in to get more information, an enrollment advisor will contact you and discuss personalized options with you.
  2. I also can't PM. I have 4 years RN experience. I have my BSN from a state University and a B.S. in Psychology from a different state University. I had about a 3.8 GPA in my ADN program and a 4.0 in my two bachelor degrees. I had strong references from one of the doctors I work for, my office manager, and a professor I T.A.'d for and did research with. My personal statement was probably good because I came from poverty and NP's bring access to healthcare for the impoverished communities like mine, and I discussed that.
  3. I agree with you. They are pretty equal to me. However, I think UC is more well-known which makes me feel like it could look better on a resume, but I don't know how much that matters. I know a guy that is attending Maryville and has already had two job offers before graduation, and nobody cared about his schooling. One comment that made me lean toward UC is a fellow nurse said Maryville would likely be easier....I don't want easy...I want to be prepared. But those two things don't hold a ton of weight for me. With that said, I'm leaning towards UC, but I guess I was looking for any personal experience with either school regarding pros and cons or the such.

  5. I got into FNP programs at Maryville University and University of Cincinnati for Spring 2017. I was wondering if anybody could give me personal experience or insight into which one I should choose. Thanks!
  6. I was also accepted to UC for Spring 2017!
