  1. 102 definitely is tough and you'll lose a lot of people but it's not impossible. Don't get behind, give yourself time to study for the exams and you'll be fine! Don't play the catch up game.
  2. Hi, I just took my 201 final today! One semester to go!
  3. We use prepU for practice questions it's a great resource. In 101 there are quizzes and 102 & 201 there are online quizzes to compliment the grade. ATI test counts for 5% of the grade. The success books are amazing! They were extremely helpful in 102 because it breaks down questions for each disease. I'm in the day program and I work about 15 hours a week but whenever I have an exam I don't work that week at all. That's what has been working for me. Plan the semester ahead. They give you a syllabus in the beginning of the semester so you know when exams are and try to work around that.
  4. No problem! Trust me I know the feeling. You'll figure out what works for you because everyone is different. I never read the book in 101. I only followed the PowerPoints. In 102 it gets much tougher and I used the book as a guide but I wouldn't read the entire chapter because it's a lot! And you're not tested on everything that's in the book. The ATI books are awesome! They summarize everything for you and they have like 5 questions at the end of each chapter. So I definitely recommend that.
  5. Hi congratulations! Honestly I was terrified too but if you put in the work you'll be fine. I usually take the whole weekend off before an exam and literally study all day. Exams are tough you can't cram. Just make sure you have enough time to study and you'll be fine.
  6. Congrats! When do you start? Fall 2018?
  7. I don't think they'll hold it against you but they'll definitely ask you about it. So just make sure you have a good explanation.
  8. I'm not really sure how long it'll take. I applied in August and heard back after thanksgiving. Good luck !
  9. Oh okay I was going to say I could send you a few things I have from 101 but I was in the day program so I think it might be a little different.
  10. Hi ro2184, That's awesome to hear! Are you in the evening or day program? I'm finishing up my second semester, 2 weeks away from being done. It's a lot of work but it's great. I think the hardest thing for me was learning how to study for the exams. You can't cram the material so just make sure you give yourself a good week to prepare for the exams. The 101 instructors are great and will literally hold your hand throughout the semester. It gets tough in 102 because they no longer hold your hand. Just plan ahead cut down work hours etc. you'll do great!
  11. That's definitely a great choice! You need two non- nursing classes at Regis and the rest can be taken at any community college. I took all of mine at north shore it's a lot cheaper! If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I know how it feels to be on the other side.
  12. Hi ro2184, congratulations on your acceptance! So are you thinking of going to Laboure or Lawrence Memorial? I've heard of Laboure and I heard the passing rate is very low. Look at the reviews and job placements for graduates before making a decision. I just took two summer courses at Regis and it's usually full but they wait to see how many more people register and they open another class. What non nursing classes do you need? Best of luck!
  13. Yeah but you just have to wait for a spot to open up so you could end up waiting a semester or two. I'm not sure how long the waiting list is, but hopefully you won't even be in it. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm happy to help.
  14. No problem! I know how frustrating the wait is but it's worth it. I was at school yesterday and was told that for the first time there is a waiting list. Good luck !
  15. I did get in and just finished my first semester! I found out right before thanksgiving. It's a lengthy wait but it's worth it. It's an amazing program! Good luck!
