  1. It is! I'm happy I asked for advice on here because I wouldn't of thought of most of the things people told me! I just don't want to make the same mistake twice so I have to go the extra mile and do more! thanks for asking í ½í¸€
  2. Yes i have and i feel 10000000 times better. The dean told me I do have a fair chance. She said because None of my nursing clinical courses transferred and I'll be starting over completely with clinicals that me failing another program won't be counted against me. They give students a fair chance and that's not how their enrollment process works. It would've been different if I had tried to pick up where I left off. I meet the requirements but the only thing that determines if I'm accepted into clinicals is if I pass the pre req nursing class that everyone has to take which I heard is very tough! I made friends with some students that's in the program and got them to send me the syllabus and the books they used! I have been reading and getting a head start on things before the spring semester begins.
  3. wow! That's great! I'm happy you decided not to give up! Your story gives me hope! I hope one day I'll be telling the same story to someone that happens to be in the same position I'm in one day in the future :) thank you for the encouraging words!
  4. I failed a course by 1 point and I appealed and they granted it and then revoked it because the class I failed was 9 credits and killed my gpa! The appeal committee didn't look at all of that before granting my appeal. They didn't catch the mistake until after I went to summer school and paid an arm and a leg and I couldn't drop the summer courses bc it was past the drop date. Once my appeal was revoked I was dismissed from the program. The serious problem was my gpa dropped so low after that 9 credit course.

  6. For the record everyone. I do not have a problem with anyone's responses. Some are blunt and straight to the point! I have no problem with that! My situation is not perfect so I don't expect anyone to baby me or tell me everything will be okay. I just wanted to clarify that. Please be straight forward! The advice has been great.. tell me your experiences. If I don't know something, educate me, don't belittle me. you learn new things everyday and I'm learning from every one of these comments! Thank you
  7. you starting to understand why I failed out of nursing school? Lol You don't even know me personally but you understand why I failed? I won't even tell you what I really want to tell you. But thanks for the advice!
  8. Thank you! I'm meeting with the dean this week! 8 will definitely ask this question! Thank you :)
  9. I agree. Some are rude but the advice and tips are great! I tried the Lpn route and was accepted and then I couldn't get any financial aide. I would've had to pay $655 monthly to the school, which would've been extremely hard to do and try to focus on school
  10. your statements on being mean is irrelevant. Everyone have the right to say what they want to say. & if I think some of the comments are rude then that's my opinion! I wasn't yelling I was capitalizing to make sure you understood that I don't feel any type of way towards any of the comments on my thread! All the advice and tips is important to me whether is was rude, negative, positive or whatever. It's just you blowing things out of proportion. Have a nice day ma'am, and thank you for your two cents and advice! I appreciate it.
  11. yes! Exactly! None of my clinical courses will transfer. & was hurt at first! But it's something I got over. I had to put my pride aside and go after what I really wanted. Anywhere I go I will have to restart all clinical courses.
  12. I NEVER SAID " THAT I DIDNT WANT TO HEAR WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY " ! if you being real about a response & giving me advice I have no problem with that! I'm taking everyone's advice and all the tips given to me. WHETHER ITS SOMETHING I WANT TO HEAR ABOUT OR DONT WANT TO HEAR! But some people's comments are very rude and bluntly stated!! But do you see me commenting back to them telling them that?? No, if that's how they are expressing their points of view on my situation then there's nothing I can do about that. Don't come on the thread trying to blow things out of proportion and jumping to conclusions. I can't expect everything to be all peaches and cream when my situation is not even peaches and cream. I wasn't expecting comments to be sugar coated an nice when in reality it's not like that.
  13. i regret saying anything about my failings, because i am judged just based off of that and it's so hard to find a school to accept you. thanks for the advice, and i will def keep you updated.
  14. That is awesome that students are given a second chance and not judged by their past. I hope, for my sake, that everything goes well and that is the case for me. This makes me happy.
  15. I was was very surprised too being that this is people who have went through the struggle of nursing school. I still took their advice into consideration though. But thank you for your honest and sincere comment! Thank you for the encouraging words.
