  1. Hello all! I am a pre-nursing student (last semester, hopefully) and I am drafting an informative speech for my public speaking class. I am going to talk about general anesthesia, and the physiological aspects a patient would experience during each phase (i.e. induction, maintenance, and emergence phase). I have a pretty neat back story on why I chose this topic and I'm going to begin telling a story about how my dad woke up in the middle of eye surgery a few years ago (I know it's crazy, but it's attention-grabbing for sure!!!) My first main point is going to introduce my topic on a consumer level to give a brief overview about what it is and the types of anesthesia (local, regional, and general). I'm stuck on where to go next with my speech.... any ideas on what I can talk about next, without getting off topic and talking about too many ideas on anesthesia?? I appreciate any thoughts and input
