  1. Hi, my question is how important is it to future employers whether or not a new RN had an internship? I am trying to get my BSN and I have applied to 2 nursing programs. One is 5 semesters long and one is 4 semesters long. The 5 semester program has a semester of interning at a hospital. The other program does not have an internship, but both programs have clinicals at hospitals as part of the curriculum. If I go to the program that does not have a semester of interning, will this put me at a disadvantage in the job market? I should mention that I don't have any previous experience in healthcare settings. Thanks!!
