  1. Hey, I dont know where you practice and that might be a determining factor. I practice in IL and the state as a whole has allot of issues that inhibit our BON from functioning appropriately. I had a DUI 2013 I did not blow and I contested the charges but lost. I was advised by my attorney (attorney that deals with BON) not to report the charges to the BON but I felt that I wanted to be the one thats forthcoming. I informed the state and waited. Its been 3 years thus far and I have not heard anything. After further discussion with my attorney she said that the states look favorably on people who self disclose. Its a personal choice and I would not blame anyone for going either way. In the mean time I have switched hospitals and switched departments. I say this to show that being forthcoming with my perspective employers (after a successful interview when I get the job offer) I was able to achieve my goals and determine my practice.
