Hello everyone! I was accepted into the program last year (traditional) and am currently in second semester. It feels like yesterday that I was in the same position as you, patiently waiting to get the news and chatting on all nurses with people who are now some of my closest friends. (If you search BCC nursing 2017, you can probably find a lot of answers too your questions within our post, including GPAs of my classmates before getting in) i just wanted to comment and let you know that yes, our degree works did change on February 16th, so you should be finding out very shortly. Please please please don't already be stressing the math exams and all of that. You will have plenty of time for stress later, for now, wait patiently and enjoy the time you have before you start, because I promise you it's going to go by too quickly. Lastly, regardless of the outcome of your application, if this is something you truly want never give up. I have grown in so many ways throughout this experience and it is worth every ounce of hard work it took not only be here, but to continue to be apart of BCC's Nursing class of 2019. These professors will re-train your thought process without you even realizing it, push you too capacities that you didn't think you'd ever be able to handle, and change who you are for the better. &don't be afraid to reach out to your "second year class" when you see us around and need some guidance! Yes I've already sent the rejection to Brockton. It was a tough choice, because I honestly think I'd be a better student at Brockton.. they seem like they really care about the students. But, the convenience of BCC makes it more appealing for me. I wish you the best of luck there, Congrats!

Yes I have all that plus others, my application is complete and I meet all requirements. but didn't know if it would hurt my chances since I don't have everything done other than nursing courses since some people say they look for people who only need nursing classes left.

Thanks for the info,do you know if people get accepted who still have some other degree requirements to take but have all the required pre-reqs done?

Im nervous because I have all the pre req requirements done, but still need micro, elective and math. Which I plan to do all 3 this summer, but ofcourse they don't know that. lol don't want pending classes too get in the way of me getting in. Urrghhh

lol It has the 2013-2014 catalog on the bcc website. February 1st was the deadline prior to 2015 applicants. I know this because earlier today I went to look at how many classes I needed left for a nursing degree, quickly just typed in google Bcc nursing requirements & I almost had a heart attack when I saw feb 1st as the deadline. Afterwards I realized it was on the wrong year lol did you have any other classes to take other then the nursing courses the last time you were accepted?

Just realized you said two years ago. Not sure, why yours was later? Maybe it takes a decent amount of time to change everybody's? Everyone I know from 2 years ago heard in February

It's earlier than the last time you applied because the deadline used to be February, two years ago they changed the deadline to January. That's why last year found out the second week in February, and the year before in the end of February. That's why we're all going crazy, we know it's coming any day now lol

I just keep trying to tell myself that stressing will only make it feel like longer of a wait, try to distract yourself, and stop worrying to much, regardless of your points, turning your GPA around is something to be proud of. Admissions will see that, and they will love that all your focus will be on nursing classs. You're going to get in! I'm sure of it!

Some rejection letters went out?! That makes me feel good!! Well, Sucks for them but glad to know we made the cut so far. You look like your in a good spot I wouldn't worry!! You have a good GPA and all your classes being done will help!

we will make it in girls! I have faith in us. It looks like we're all in a good place with our grades, and I'm so glad you all joined into my post! It has helped a lot chatting with people who are feeling the same anxiety that I am! So thank you, and I'm hoping too meet you all in the Fall!

Monday school better not get cancelled! 3 snow days is too much, we need answers! Lol the year before with a lot of snow days they found out the last few days a February so hopefully it'll be this month for sure! Did you apply to traditional or ehealth?

Psych wards will be full of Nursing applicants very shortly! I'm trying to convince myself that I'm going to stop stalking my major. Probably not going to happen, but wishful thinking!

Welcome Steph! Your definitely not the only one going crazy! Lol everyday that goes by is 50 times worse then the last. Hopefully we have some answers soon! This snow coming is only going to delay us more ladies!!
