  1. Has everyone else got their registration dates and times?
  2. Glad to see we are starting to be accepted :) sometime soon we should start up a Facebook group!
  3. Thank you! Good luck with your micro course and your application in general! Is it general micro or medical micro?
  4. I got accepted into the program!!!!!!!
  5. That's good to hear. I have had really positive experiences with PBL or CBL in the past so for me incorporating SOME of that in is fine. But I'm glad to hear it isn't every class. How many clinical hours per week are you attending? Are you finding the program as a whole manageable?
  6. So..does anyone know when they start accepting students into the program? So I can stop worrying if it's going to be ages?
  7. Awesome! It's hard not to get frightened by some of the posts on the Internet about the u alberta program. Do you do a lot of CBL and flipped classroom and that sort of alternative lecture style?
  8. I believe it is. I guess you can convert it, but percentages is just how UBC does it.
  9. I am hoping for early admission to u of a...I have a competitive GPA so assuming there are no prereq issues I should. If I get in before January i will not apply elsewhere. If I still don't have an acceptance by then I will start applying elsewhere, namely ubc and u calg. U of a is my first choice as I have family in Edmonton.
  10. Oh awesome. Even though the lab was super fun and you're missing out. Are you applying anywhere else?
  11. Well i haven't taken 235 but I have taken its equivalent in a very accelerated self driven format. I personally after my degree which is in general biology but I focused on human/medical bio in my last 2 years found it not to be super challenging and actually was a grade booster. How does one take the lab online?
  12. Sorry, moderator! Did not realize rules. Will not happen again. So you are taking all 6 credits in one semester? I kind of did the same at ok college..I took a 6 week intensive in the summer with 6 hours of class 5 days a week for both halves of a and p.
  13. She is fantastic. Took intro micro and immunology with her. Had dr * for med micro but loved her too haha!
