  1. Legality of Changing Name

    I recently got married and have changed my name with my social security and on my RN license. I have asked my manager multiple times to change my name and have contacted our HR, but was told ultimately my manager has to submit a request to change my name within our charting system. It has been 2 months and I have been charting under my maiden name, which is now a person that a) no longer exists b) there is no coinciding RN license for since all of my information has been changed with the state. Can I get in legal trouble for this later if a chart ever goes to court and I had already changed my name/ is this illegal? I have continued to contact HR and my manager but nothing is happening.
