I had 2-3 years of ICU, 3.65 GPA, GRE: 94th percentile for english, 80th percentile for math. I didn't have too many 'extra special' things on my resume, to be honest, but I nailed the interview. I just tried to be the best version of myself; animated, friendly and confident. A close family friend of mine that has sat on graduate school admission panels told me to show them that I wanted this more than anyone else, and that the program would be my number one priority. They want to see your personality shine through. If it gives anyone hope, I applied last year and didn't even get an interview, and just one year later I was accepted :)
