  1. haha no problem! I was in your shoes this time last year. Totally understand where you're coming from. Happy holidays!
  2. Hello! I was number 3 on the wait list. I think I called or emailed the school of nursing office weekly to see if I had been bumped up the list (persistent and annoying, I'm sure). I didn't find out until early December that I had been accepted. I was so anxious and checked my email every moment like a crazy person, it really was a terrible time of waiting around. I wish you the best and try to keep your hopes up!
  3. I believe the classes that you took in your undergrad would likely fulfill those pre-reqs, and there's no expiration on communication/english classes. It's probably best to shoot the SFSU school of nursing an e-mail to verify if your classes match up. Best of luck!
  4. Yup, spring is accelerated and fall is not. I love it so far. We have a tight cohort and most of the professors are very supportive. You may as well apply. The whole application process was very daunting and stressful, but once you're in you're set! Best of luck
  5. Hey, I believe most of us got full federal funding. Partially unsubsidized as well as grad plus loans (higher interest). The accelerated MSN is 2 years with no summers off. The regular MSN is 3 yrs with summers off.
  6. So bummed out that I missed orientation. Thanks for the info @sweetmemi!
  7. Hey guys! How's everybody doing with signing up? I'm just figuring out my financial aid now. Has anybody received their schedule yet? I want to start pricing out how much books will be. Did everybody get their scrubs at orientation? Also, any updates with the facebook group? I am totally in the dark here, but slowly putting it all together.
  8. Thanks @smags!! Please let me know once it's established. Did orientation already happen?
  9. I just got accepted off the waitlist!!! So excited! Now I need to figure out what the next steps are. I look forward to meeting you all
  10. That is super helpful! Thank you. Let the countdown begin...í ½í¸¬
  11. For those who got accepted, is there a deadline in which you have to accept by? I'm trying to estimate when they'll start pulling from the waitlist....thanks!
  12. Congrats!! Waitlisted and keeping my fingers crossed
  13. GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!
  14. Good idea! 45 minutes seems like an awfully long interview, but I'm sure it goes by quickly once you're doing it. When I went to the group info session before applying I had asked what to expect from the interview. They said it was a panel interview. Like we'll be interviewed by at least a few different members from the nursing committee. So I don't think it'll be a group interview...
  15. Hi @sweetmemi! Congrats on the interview! I have an interview too. Going to start preparing now and hoping for the best. SFSU is my first choice
  16. Hey ! Is anybody else applying to SFSU's A-ELMSN program for Spring 2017? I have and applied for women's health... hope we can all go through this process together. Power in numbers!
  17. Hey everybody, I'm new to this thread. I'm just wondering if anybody applied to the ELMSN program? Or is everybody here for BSN? I have a interview on 11/9 for ELMSN (women's health)...super nervous!
  18. @aftonheistand Thanks, I am so relieved SFSU got back to me around the same time as USF or else I would have been super bummed out today. This is also my first round of applying, so it's a learning experience for sure. I received an e-mail from USF at 8:05am to check my updated status on my login. Once I logged in, I had to click to view application decision. Then the sad letter was there, " Thank you for your interest in the University of San Francisco and the School of Nursing and Health Professions. The Admission Evaluation and Selection Committee has met and reviewed your application for admission to the MSN program for the Spring 2017 semester. We regret to inform you that you have not been admitted to this year's class. We appreciate your interest in the University of San Francisco and the School of Nursing and Health Professions. We wish you the best in your future endeavors. The Graduate School of Nursing continues to see a marked increase in the amount of applications received for a limited number of spaces in this accelerated degree program, and thus we have more qualified candidates than available spaces. This semester we have had to turn away many qualified applicants. We appreciate your interest in the University of San Francisco and the School of Nursing and Health Professions. We wish you the best in your future endeavors. " Best of luck to all!!
  19. I got denied today from USF, but have an interview with SFSU's MSN program in 2 wks. Hopefully that works out, otherwise I'll be reapplying very soon. Congrats to those who have been accepted! Good luck to those who are in the same boat as me or haven't heard anything yet!
  20. Hey everybody! Did anybody else apply to SFSU too this cycle? I still haven't heard back from both USF and SFSU, and I'm waiting anxiously everyday. ughhh
  21. Hi all! I'm joining this thread as I am also waiting anxiously for a response to my application. As of today, I haven't received any e-mails or an update on my application status. Waiting to hear back is pretty excruciating, and my heart goes out to those who have already received denial notices. I've also applied to SFSU's accelerated ELMSN program (CNS), so I'm waiting to hear back from them as well. I guess we'll wait and see, but it's comforting to know that other people are out there going through this painful process with me...best of luck to everybody! My focus right now is stay as productive as possible so I don't go stir-crazy lol
