  2. Opportunity of a Lifetime Update

Unfortunately in my area, there aren't a lot of case management and day turn positions available. I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on home care. Long hrs, driving a lot, going to homes in not such good areas, and not having as many resources avail...

  7. Opportunity of a Lifetime

Luckily, I am familiar with a lot of central lines, as well as ports. We get a lot of patients that are getting chemo and patients that just cannot keep peripheral sites, due to the condition of their veins. I do have some experience with those, not ...

  12. First code

I get that we cannot control everything. Death is nothing new to me, unfortunately. I have also been on the other side. I lost my mom and grandmother in 2012 and my step-dad in 2014. I have been involved in codes previously, just not as the Nurse of ...
  13. First code

That I am not sure of. The patient was not very old, but had a lot of health issues. Patient came to me from ED about 2330 and the PCP is out of the country, so it was a physician covering for him that wasnt familiar with the patient. Regardless, I d...

Thank you for your reply. My husband is a difficult creature. We do make time for each other and we are best friends. However, he has a no nonsense kind of attitude. I always make sure I ask him how his day is. It is just hard, because my work stress...

  19. Questioning a doctors order

It is not the school I went to. We were taught to question orders. It was an incident at work. I was just wondering if anyone else encountered this issue with management or supervisors.
  20. Questioning a doctors order

  23. Questioning a doctors order

Yes, I just dont want to be too specific. This is something that warranted the pt to be in iso previously when admitted 2 months ago and this pt is a frequent flyer and is known to have this frequently when admitted.
  24. Questioning a doctors order

Wasnt a uti, it was something that warranted isolation precautions. Just dont want to be too specific on here.
