  1. @bmadrid I adopted my dog Franklin (a great dane mix) in April and I will be bringing him with me to Durham in January! If you are planning on getting a dog I would do so sooner rather than later, I'm really thankful I've had this time to train him before getting to school and having a super busy schedule. But I'm so happy to have him and I think he is gonna be a huge stress reliever for me during the program!
  2. It came a few days after I paid my deposit
  3. Is the Facebook link that Nora sent working for anybody?
  4. @ssen this is my exact situation! I completely agree!
  5. Hopefully a link will be sent to our Duke email once it's set up!
  6. Mine is working again!
  7. We think the decisions are the same right?
  8. That was me @tytionnaforrest!
  9. So is everyone currently unable to see their decision letters?
  10. Glad I'm not the only one!
  11. Hi all! I was accepted as well earlier today, I dowloaded the PDF form of my acceptance letter. Now when I log into my self service there's no button to view decision or respond to offer anymore. Anyone else having this issue?
  12. Has anyone else heard from the waitlist?
  13. Hoping to see some waitlist movement this week!
  14. I emailed Nora and we do not have to resend transcripts, I asked because I don't think mine would have had time to get there before the May 1 deadline. I changed my essays slightly, I didn't feel like there was much I could change since I spent so much time working on them the first time.
  15. Has anyone seen any movement from the wait list?
  16. ^^ You have to receive a B- or higher in the course to enter the program.
  17. I got the same email, I am considering applying but just wondering when we would be notified of admission. I believe the spring admission cycle is less competitive than fall since it's a less traditional time to begin school as well.
  18. Does anybody have any reference of how many people were waitlisted?
  19. Well I was invited to Duke Days and attended on March 24, so I think some of the people at DD were waitlisted
  20. I think you only have to indicate if you want to be removed from the wait list!
  21. I am waitlisted as well. Congrats to everyone who was accepted!
  22. Congrats everybody! Mine says decision not ready..feeling a little discouraged. Anybody have that?
  23. I have a feeling they will be sent out tomorrow..no real reason other than that they sent out Duke Days invitations on a Wednesday haha
  24. Do we feel like it'll be tomorrow when we hear?
  25. I am currently set to graduate from undergrad in May with a degree in exercise and sport science, and I have been working as a CNA for about a year while in school. I think what impressed me the most is the simulation lab that is top notch and nationally recognized. You get so much practice with them before you're expected to perform those tasks on a real person, which can make the first time seem less daunting. The faculty are also at the top of their field and seem very dedicated to the students. I am planning to go on to an MSN after working for a few years as an RN!
