Sorry if this has already been answered, I am studying right now so I didn't have time to read through all 140+ comments. I am using UWORLD to study and although I know the formatting is very similar, I was wondering if the NCLEX uses the same "cross out" feature, where if you know an answer is not right, you can put a line through it on UWORLD.

Also, I am not sure if they are calling or emailing, I believe they emailed in the past but I didn't clarify with Paula.

@technurse16 I know a few people were offered med-surg positions for Cook on Monday, maybe they are doing a second round if people declined the offers? Good luck if they are calling today, I hear Cooks is great!!!

No, I've only heard of offers. Sorry, don't give up hope yet!

Cooks started calling today, a bunch of my classmates received offers for Critical Care and Med Surg

@2016em I'm not 100% sure if all the emails have gone out, but I do know that they are only holding interviews for the next two weeks, starting Monday. Everyone who I know is gotten the offer to interview has confirmed an interview time. Also, a guy in my class told us today that almost all offers for Cooks are going out Monday and Tuesday-he works as tech, but not sure where he got info from.

Thanks! It must be different based on unit? A bunch of my friends got offers for $24 and change.

Does anyone have any advise on interviewing for UTSW, or if you got the job, how do you like your unit? I also wanted to clarify that if you get accepted to the residency, you get to do your residency on each unit then interview for the unit you want at a later date?

Does anyone have additional information on hourly wage for graduate nurses in the different hospital systems? Baylor: 25 THR: just over 24 Cooks/Childrens:? UTSW:?

@kld4024 that sounds really competitive. I received an invitation to interview but there were only 35 time slots to chose from, I hope they didn't also decrease the spots available if they aren't going to interview 40 people. Do you work for utsw or are you doing a clinical there, or were you in contact with an ICU manager?

Hi Everyone- I wanted to start a tread about the Winter 2017 (starting Feb 2017) nursing residency programs in the DFW area. This can be just a general discussion of what residencies you applied for, which ones you have had a phone screening or interview for, and any job offers anyone has received!

I am graduating within the next year and I recently had a clinical instructor tell me that some hospitals in dallas will pay for your past student loans, she said that it is something you could include in your contract? Does anyone know of that opportunity as a new graduate nurse in the DFW area?
