What!! They actually haven't started reviewing applications? Wonder how long we have to wait

ESN program is good for students to develop some seniority or foundation where they are employed, and that is good for job applications too. I'm getting so nervous just knowing we may hear back at the end of this week or next week!!

Langara Fall 2017
It's also beneficial in terms of applying to job postings because as an ESN you'll apply internally rather than externally.

Langara Fall 2017
I also considered applying to BCIT, however one thing that really divided the two programs for me is that Langara has an ESN program whereas BCIT no longer does since you get paid in your final preceptorship. Both are excellent programs as I've heard, but ESNs are definitely at an advantage in terms of marketability as new grads.

I am sooooo nervous

Langara Fall 2017
Is that true? I spoke with an advisor as well and was never told about past experience as part of the criteria for admissions. I thought that was only the case for schools like BCIT, VCC, UBC, etc. As far as I know Langara looks strictly at GPA and past degrees and they accept people off the waitlists according to the next highest GPA.

Hahaha I know how you feel. I applied back when applications first opened so I have been waiting for months! I talked with an advisor and he said that it usually takes them 4 weeks to review applications AFTER the deadline so we should start hearing back early to mid March. I think it also depends on the volume of applications for this intake. I'm really curious as to how many people applied!! I was looking at the past Fall intake and I think the first post about an offer was on March 4th, to a degree holder. I know I will be obsessively checking my application status in March xD

Langara Fall 2017
Only a few more days until the deadline and we'll be hearing back in March/April! So nervous!
-
Langara Fall 2017
They look only at the GPA of the 5 courses; I don't believe they take anything else into consideration besides having a degree. Good luck!
