@LVNmas15 the wait for active licenses is anywhere from 6-9weeks. If you drive to sacramento you can only pick up your TEMPORARY license which most places won't accept because the temporary license doesn't get posted to the website only ACTIVE licenses do, which is what most employers want to see. So either way you have to wait 6-9 weeks for your active license to get posted, but you can go to sacramento to pick up your temporary license which is free if you have already paid for your active license on breeze.

No. You have to go to the BVNPT in Sacramento, there is no other way that I know of where you can get it. That's why the other people on this thread wanted to know if it was worth driving to come pick it up

@tameen. If you pass the test and pay on breeze or pay in person for your actual license then they give you the temporary license for free on the spot

@griseldab2001. Yes, the interim is for if you havent taken the test and gotten results, because if you fail the nclex your interim gets revoked. The interim permit and the temporary license are not the same thing. The temporary permit states that you have passed and have met the legal requirements to practice as an LVN. In order to get your temporary permit you have to pay the $150 for your real license first I believe

Yes, you can apply for the interim permit. It's $40 and it's a1 page form. It's intended for people who haven't taken the nclex, but since you haven't gotten your results you can probably still get one. And yes they will void it if you failed. All of my friends and myself got our letters within a week of taking the test. We all live in the Sacramento area. I don't know what's taking the BON so long.

@ksalazar82...I agree that is too long a wait. Hopefully you'll get something soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. í ½í¸†

@ksalazar82 Did you receive a letter saying "congratulations you have met the requirements...." if so....that is your passing letter. I have a couple of friends who took the nclex at that time and have received their letters

Yesterday I received an email from the BVNPT stating: "The Board is processing payments for the last week of August." So it's looking like an average of 8-9 Weeks. Which means i probably won't receive my license before my temporary license expires They REALLY need to hire more people to get up to date. This lag time is becoming difficult for the nurses they are trying to put into the work force.

@leonclai88 omg what?????? That's horrible í ½í¸

@leonclai88 wait what? 8-12 weeks? I thought it was 5-7 weeks. Has anyone been able to get through to the BVNPT lately to determine what week they are processing for licenses? Every time i've called them this week it says to call back later. I just want to have an idea of how much longer it will take to have my license posted
